Rutland Police are warning dog owners to keep their pets on leads near livestock
and to avoid wandering into fields near farm animals. They say even the friendliest dogs can be overtaken by instinct. Officers are focusing on sheep worrying. It is one of their big priorities, particularly for the rural north beat, as the lambing season continues. They are also urging locals to report any incidents they see to the police.
