Rutland Police say seatbelts probably saved the lives of occupants in a car
that rolled into a farmer's field off the A47 in the early hours of yesterday morning. The Clio crashed through a hedge and ended up on its side. The driver and his passenger suffered a few scratches. However, officers did prosecute the driver for holding only a provisional UK licence after his international licence had expired, his passenger didn't have a licence. Also no insurance and a defective tyre.
