Secure property to deter burglars in warmer weather

The warmer weather brings increased opportunities for burglars,

say Lincolnshire Police. They say unsecured windows and doors are providing easy access for thieves and increases in time away from. Properties can also lead to them vulnerable. You're being reminded to make sure your home looks occupied when it's not with timer light and ask a neighbors to help remove mail and move bins, and also to avoid advertising holidays on social media until you return home. Officers say lighter evenings make it easier for properties to be approached unnoticed and are appealing for communities to report any suspicious activity.
