Stamford School is leading tributes to MJK Smith,
who was England's last dual international sportsman in both cricket and rugby and has died at the age of 92. Michael John Knight Smith OBE attended Stamford from 1943 to 1951 and became captain of the school cricket team and stayed in touch with Stamford, opening their refurbished pavilion in 1993. The school says MJ K will be remembered for his leadership and sportsmanship, and their thoughts are with his family, friends, teammates and all who knew him.
