Leicestershire and Rutland League 

Oakham 1sts despite 129 from Will Begy lost by 13 runs at home to Barrow Town 1sts. The 2nds won by 4 wickets at Thorpe Arnold 1sts. Captain Nick Gerber with 5-42, whilst the 3rds lost by 10 wickets at Electricity Sports 4th XI.

Uppingham Town 1sts won by 6 wickets at Barkby United 1sts following Harry Wade taking 7-52. The win puts them back to second in Premier 2. The 2nds won by 4 wickets against visitors Birstall Village 2nds and the 3rds completed a double at Wakerley & Barrowden 1sts by 109 runs.
Market Overton 1sts completed a league double at Houghton & Thurnby 3rds with a 9-wicket win. Mark Hudson with 5-40 for them. The 2nds lost at home by 137 runs to Leicester Eagles 1sts.

Lincolnshire Premier Cricket League  

Ketton Sports 2nds won by 4 wickets at Newborough 2nds.

Leaders of Division 3 South, Uffington 1sts took a big step to becoming champions with a 5 wicket win and league double at Holme 1sts who are second. Stamford Town 2nds lost at home by 3 wickets against Nassington 2nds.

Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Premier League Division 3     

Stamford Town 1sts lost by 5 wickets at Foxton Granta 2nds.

Rutland League 

Uffington 1sts, bottom of Division 1 lost by 124 runs at Ufford Park 1sts, who move out of the bottom two.  

To Division 2 and Oakham 1sts in their penultimate fixture are out of the bottom two with their first win in five as they completed the double over bottom side East Carlton 1sts by 91 runs.

In Division 4, second placed Ketton Sports 1sts in their next to last game beat Peterborough Town 2nds away by 120 runs with Barnaby Durant taking 5-17. Uffington 2nds were bowled for 72 as hosts Upwood 1sts won by 210 runs.

Grantham and Melton Cricket Association Division 2 

Burghley Park 2nds were beaten at home by 20 runs after top of the table Ashby Carrington 1sts had posted 316, despite Harry Armstrong with 132 and John Barker 104. Market Overton 1sts completed a league double at home over Croxton Kerrial 1sts by 14 runs. 

Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Premier League Division 3     

Stamford Town 1sts completed their season at LGR 1sts with a 3-wicket win to seal a league double. The result still sees them finish bottom of the league.  

Football  

In League One, ten-man Leicester City after Oliver Skipp was sent off on 29 minutes lost at home in their first league meeting with Burton Albion, 2-1. Wes Burns with the Foxes goal.

Peterborough United is underway following a 2-1 home win over Mansfield Town. Ben Woods had given Posh the lead only to be pulled back to 1-1. Harry Leonard in the third minute of second half stoppage time with the second. 

The Daniels remain pointless after losing on the road 1-0 at Worcester City in the Southern League Premier Central. 

Turning to the United Counties Premier Division North, Blackstones drew 2-2 with Hucknall Town. Andy Irvine had given them the lead before the visitors went 2-1 up. Captain Harry Peasgood with the equaliser. Deeping Rangers remain to open their account, beaten at home by Newark Town, 3-1. Harvey Thorne with their goal 

The Peterborough and District League Premier Division saw Daniel Reserves get off to a winning start following promotion with a 2-1 win at Whaplode Drove Rovers. Adam Steels with the opener and Max Howe with the winning goal with goalkeeper John Swales making several good saves.

Cottesmore’s unbeaten run in the Everards Brewery Premier Division has come to an end after losing at home 3-1 to Hathern. Ferdy Baker with the goal.    

Bourne Town have a replay following their 1-1 draw at Bottesford Town in the FA Cup Preliminary Round. This was after Michael Bostwick had put them ahead.
