Leicester City are safely through to the FA Cup 4th Round following their 2-0 win at League Two Cheltenham Town. Both goals coming in the first half through Patson Daka and Stephy Mavididi.

Peterborough United beat 5th placed Bolton Wanderers 3-1 thanks to goals from Matthew Garbett, Kyrell Lisbie and Jimmy-Jay Morgan.

To the Peterborough and District League Division One, where leaders Daniel Reserves made it three wins on the bounce in the reversed fixture at Borderville due to the weather as they beat Ketton Sports Premiair 3-1. On target for them were Jamie Milner, Jacob Poxon and Jake Walton with Nathan Bedford the Ketton Sports Premier scorer.

United Counties Premier Division North saw Blackstones despite Callum Davies given them the lead on 32 minutes, lose 2-1 at high flying Newark Town who scored both goals in the second half.

Women’s Football

Oakham United have lost for the first time since September in the Leicestershire Women’s League Division 1 going down 2-1 at Thurmaston DPC Vixens.

Deeping Rangers suffered a 4-2 defeat at Cambridge Rangers in the Cambridgeshire Women’s Division 1.

Rugby

In Pool 3 of the Investec Champions Cup, Leicester Tigers recorded their first victory by 57 points to 14 at home to Bayonne. Tigers scored nine tries including a Billy Searle nine-minute hat-trick and two for Adam Radwan.

Investec Champions Cup and a repeat of the 2025 final saw the holders Bordeaux Bègles triumph once again as they beat Northampton Saints in France by 50 points to 28 in Pool 4.

Women’s Rugby

To Women’s Rugby and Stamford Women 1sts came back at home from trailing 24-5 to beat Colchester Iceni 33-24 to extend their unbeaten run to four and replace them in second place in the Women's NC 1 East league.
