A mixed afternoon for Oakham, the 1sts lost by 10 wickets at home to Rothley Park 1sts, whilst the 2nds went down by 62 runs at Kegworth Town 2nds. The 3rds won away at Uppingham Town 3rds by 38 runs.
For the second time in a month, Uppingham 1sts Captain, Hayden Brough has scored a double century. This time 227 not out, 18 4’s and 14 6’s’ as they won by 115 runs at Shepshed 2nds. The 2nds won by 69 runs at home against GNG 1sts to put them top of Championship 2 Central.
Market Overton 1sts lost at home by 6 wickets to Rothley Park 3rds and the 2nds also losing at Wakerley & Barrowden, who made it three wins so far in May this time by 102 runs.
Lincolnshire Premier Cricket Leagues
Burghley Park 1sts returned to winning ways by 145 runs at home over Grantham 1sts, Xavier Wildsmith with 5-23. The 2nds won by 142 runs as hosts Moulton Harrox 2nds were bowled out for 53. Charlotte Aylmore 5-22 and Cameron Fish 5-27.
Ketton Sports 1sts went down by 65 runs at Boston 1sts with the 2nds beating visitors Skegness 2nds by 50 runs.
Stamford Town 2nds won by 6 wickets at home to Holme 1sts, whilst Uffington 1sts had a 30-run win at Royal Boston 2nds.
Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Premier League Division 3
Stamford Town 1sts lost at top the table Cambridge Old Monks 1sts by 8 wickets.
Rutland League
Uffington 1sts lost by 175 runs at home to top of the table Newborough 1sts in Division 1, whilst the 2nds were beaten at Royal Strikers in Division 4 by 7 wickets after being dismissed for 69.
In Division 3, Stamford Town 1sts unbeaten start has come to an end by 5 wickets at leaders Hampton 1sts. Tim Juggins taking all five wickets.
Despite Adam Warren who batted very well for his 106, Ketton Sports 1sts lost to visitors Oundle Town 1sts by 3 wickets in Division 4.
Grantham and Melton Cricket Association Division 2
Stamford Town 2nds made it back-to-back away wins this time by 35 runs at Market Overton 1sts with Alex Birch taking 5-27.

Leicestershire Women’s League Division 1
Oakham United in their last away game of the season lost 2-0 at Kirby Muxloe, a result which means their hosts are champions.
Youth Football
Oakham United Under 17’s are Leicestershire Youth League Under 17 Division 1 Champions as Syston Town Juniors Pumas have pulled out from the fixture scheduled for Wednesday, so the points awarded to Oakham.

Rugby
A great day for the purple, black and white of Stamford Rugby Club in the NLD Rugby Cup finals at Lady Bay, Nottingham.
Stamford Men beat the defending champions of the Men’s Senior XV Cup, Melbourne by 54 points to 26. At the break they trailed 19-14 but then they produced a superb second half team performance to blow their opponents away.
Before this, Stamford Women defended the Women’s Senior XV Cup for the third year in a row with a comprehensive 59-12 victory over West Bridgford in tough conditions with the heat.
Nine tries were scored including two for Jorja Matchwick and Sarah Mitchelson and one each for Liberty Ashdown, Kieva Clegg, Holly Crewe, Sammy Pocock and Louise Simons.
Daisy Attley with six conversions and Liberty Ashdown with one conversion completing the scoring.
