A drink driver was caught near Barnsdale last night.
Police found the driver to be over twice the legal limit and they are due to appear in court this morning. Officers became suspicious after the car was accelerating and breaking erratically and drifting over the centre of the road. In a separate incident, a van driver was towing a trailer without lights on.The car behind nearly went into the back of it after a sudden right turn. Police stopped the driver, who admitted the trailer plug didn't fit the socket on his van.
