A week-long training exercise is underway at Kendrew Barracks to test and improve emergency response procedures and locals may see more emergency and military vehicles on the roads nearby as a result.
It brings together a number of agencies, including the Ministry of Defence, Rutland County Council, and the Local Resilience Forum.
It's taking place within the confines of the barracks at Cottesmore every day between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM until Friday. And it's a controlled and carefully planned exercise, they say, with no expected hazards to the public or cause for concern.
