More parking spaces will be available at Cattle Market car park in Stamford to meet demand on busy days.
The council claims on Fridays and Saturdays, the 100 extra spaces that will be created on waste ground nearby are badly needed. The project will cost half a million pounds and include some extra electric car charging points. South Kesteven says the scheme is necessary to meet demand as the town grows.
A consultation is expected on parking charges this autumn, which will also propose some car parks charging for Sundays and evenings in the town.
