Could you become a foster carer in Rutland?
The County Council is looking for more temporary homes for children and young people to help them remain local rather than move out of county, leading to disruption in schooling, friendships and support networks. Rutland County Council says children come into care for many reasons and foster carers play a crucial role in providing stability during difficult times. They welcome people from all backgrounds, with carers needing to be over 21, have a spare room and be willing to undertake checks and training but also many different types of foster care to make sure children have a home for days, weeks, months or years depending on their age and circumstances. Anyone interested is asked to contact Rutland Foster Care at Rutland County Council for an informal chat
