Rutland Police are asking anyone who saw a black Audi Q2 early on Sunday morning in an area near Stamford to contact them.
Two women were arrested after a suspected hit and run on the A606 between Empingham and Stamford. A 20 year old man with a serious leg injury was found by police at the side of the road at around 6:45 on Sunday morning. He was taken to hospital with head, leg and pelvic injuries. A black Audi Q2, which police believe was involved in the collision was later found abandoned In Oakham. Two 20 year old women are accused of careless and inconsiderate driving, drink driving and failing to stop at the scene of a road accident. Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw the vehicle beforehand to contact them.
