Autumn is in full swing and at Ketton Pumpkin Patch, they are ready for all things Halloween...
The Ketton Pumpkin Patch is back in full swing this October!
Visitors can use wheelbarrows to hand pick their own pumpkins, squashes and gourds, as well as enjoying an array of Halloween fun themed activities. Located opposite the Ketton cement works, the event is in its second year of operation. It is running every weekend until Halloween and has already seen huge demand since it opened at the beginning of October.
Andy Payne, who runs Ketton Pumpkins, describes what visitors can expect at the farm:
“We’ve got lots of pumpkins to choose from, we’ve also got face painting and photos, tractors to look at and sit in, chickens, cows, baby pigs, refreshments and a straw bale castle too!” says Andy “It certainly seems to have been busy, I think people are quite pleased to be doing something outside in the fresh air.”
We're holding a drop-in session for local people who are interested in learning more about volunteering opportunities with the community radio station serving Rutland, Stamford and the surrounding area. The drop-in event is being held in the theatre lounge at Stamford Corn Exchange from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday 24 April.
The two campaign groups against the proposed development on the north side of Stamford are joining forces for what they say is one final push for people to comment. Neither Stamford North nor Quarry Farm have been approved for planning yet. The South Kesteven District Local Plan is also out for consultation following some revisions.
