Birdfair 2021

The organisers of the annual Birdfair staged at Rutland Water have announced that this year’s event is cancelled. For the second year in a row, one of the biggest events in Rutland's calendar will not take place due to concerns over travel restrictions and the safety of visitors.

Organisers said: “We regret to announce that due to the continuation of COVID restrictions deeply impacting UK and international travel, public health and the safety of our visitors and exhibitors, we have decided not to host Birdfair at Rutland Water Nature Reserve this year.”

Birdfair, a leading conservation event recognised across the globe, was due to take place during August. The 2020 event was replaced by an online Virtual Birdfair. More information on plans for 2021 will be announced during May.
