As part of the Future Rutland discussion, Rutland residents are being urged to think hard and speak up about their future health and social care needs.
The Rutland Health and Social Care Policy Consortium is urging people in Rutland to have their say when a new draft paper on Health & Social Care comes out for consultation.
Jennifer Fenelon is chair and says that people can help form the specifics of what is required for the county in the future:
“Everyone says it is transport that is the biggest issue” says Jennifer “We are particularly concerned about older people being taken all the way to Glenfield or The Royal [both in Leicester]. It has been agreed that there should be provision in Rutland to save those long journeys but it’s getting that detail worked out – that’s the next step.”
