It's five years this week since the discovery of the Rutland Sea dragon in the lagoon at Rutland Water.
A practically complete 10 metre long ichthyosaur from 180 million years ago. It represents one of the greatest finds in British palaeontological history. It's still to be restored and hopefully brought back to the county. Rutland County Council hopes either the current museum or the council offices could host it. For now though funds need to be raised for it to be fully restored so it could still be years before it's on show.
